Doctor Kurzydlo is originally from Newcastle, NSW, and completed her schooling and university there. She gained Fellowship from the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2009, and is currently working as a Consultant Dermatologist in private practice in Lake Macquarie / Newcastle.
Whilst her daily practice involves all aspects of dermatology, she has a specific interest in the areas of surgical dermatology, skin cancer/ melanoma diagnosis and management, paediatric and genital dermatology, as well as cosmetic dermatology. As part of her cosmetic practice, she offers botox, and is often asked for her expert opinion on matters related to beauty products and procedures.
She has a strong interest in health and fitness and adopts a holistic approach to healthcare. She believes a healthy mind and body go hand in hand.
Dr Kurzydlo has always enjoyed public speaking, and started presenting from an early age. Through her role as school captain and being selected for the school debating team, she developed presentation skills and gained confidence in speaking to audiences. She is now regularly involved in public speaking, including presenting at medical conferences and lecturing to general practitioners and medical students. She has also presented at numerous product launches and Magazine Beauty Editors lunches for major brands.
Dr Kurzydlo has a keen interest in media work, and has written countless articles for magazines such as Women’s Health and Fitness, Women’s day, New Idea, Marie Claire and Practical Parenting. She has also done numerous television interviews for all the major channels and radio interviews on the ABC.
